Filming
We can supply a wide range of filming solutions, from safety filming (to enable normal glass to conform to safety glass standards), to tinted filming for specialist installations. Other types of filming are also available.
Heat-rejection film is film is a film applied to the interior of the glass, and is specifically designed to reflect most infrared, ultraviolet and visible light, and should be coupled with a low-emissivity coating applied to the exterior of the glass.
Privacy film can create a one-way mirror, depending on light conditions. Mirrored glass, if correctly applied, can create a mirrored effect on one side of the glass permanently, regardless of light levels on either side.
Safety film (Also called “Security film"), is designed to prevent the glass shattering under impact stresses, and to safely contain the glass if shattering does occur. This is sometimes used on glass that has already shattered, to provide some integrity while replacement glass is sought.
Cheshire boarding up services
If you’ve had an accident late at night, we won’t be able to replace your glass immediately. In this case, we will board up your window with plywood boards to maintain security, and arrange for the glass to be fitted once it is available. We operate a 24-hour* rapid-response Cheshire boarding-up service, to give you peace of mind when you need it most. We can also board-up large Cheshire commercial premises when the owner has vacated the building, or is in the process of a large-scale refurbishment, where the building needs to be protected against squatters and other intruders. All boarding-up jobs in Cheshire and the local area include a free quote on replacement glass if required.
